LM Board now using BoardDocs

Posted on: July 24, 2018

Little Miami Locals Schools is leveraging cloud-based technology to improve the governance process while saving staff time and taxpayer dollars.

The Little Miami Board of Education has begun using BoardDocs Pro, a paperless agenda program that manages all parts of board meeting business electronically.

BoardDocs Pro uses a structured, collaborative workflow that is specifically designed to meet the needs and legal requirements of governing bodies and public entities. Additionally, through the MetaSearch feature, members have access to best practices from other organizations that are using the system.

Up until the adoption of BoardDocs, the LM Board of Education received its paper board packet on the Friday before a regular meeting. Depending on the amount of business on the agenda that month, a board packet could number in the hundreds of pages of supporting materials that needed to be copied, bound, and physically delivered to each board member.

Now, electronic distribution will not only save time and resources, but it will also provide public access via the Little Miami’s website. After the meeting, individuals can review the agenda and see what action the board took, complete with voting results. All documents associated with the meeting are automatically archived and can be accessed by date or by using the system’s comprehensive Search feature.

“As a board member, this is a great way to access the agenda earlier, to ask questions and have more time for input,” said LM board member Nancy Journeay. “It also makes sense because it saves us time and money from not wasting all of that paper.”

BoardDocs can be accessed via Little Miami’s website.
