Little Miami is saddened by the passing of longtime bus driver Larry Griffith (May 5, 1955 – January 14, 2026). Larry served the Little Miami community for 16 years and quickly became a familiar, trusted face to students and staff alike. Affectionately known as “Scary Larry,” he earned that nickname with humor, but everyone knew he had a heart of gold. Larry was always willing to help with anything asked of him and was never short on a story or a classic dad joke to brighten the day.
Larry deeply loved his family and was a proud father of three daughters — one of whom is a Little Miami employee — as well as a grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife and carried her memory with him always.
All of us across the district, especially in the transportation department, will miss Larry greatly. Little Miami has lost a valued employee and a kind presence. A celebration of life service will be held on February 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Location is 2529 Moore Saur Road in Morrow.
