Little Miami Schools will operate on a 90-minute delay tomorrow. This delay will give our students and drivers additional daylight to travel and make their way to bus stops and school safely.
Roads, sidewalks, and neighborhood areas may still be slick in spots. When families and neighbors are able, helping by clearing and shoveling sidewalks and areas near bus stops can make a big difference in keeping students safe.
We appreciate your patience and support as we work together to ensure a safe start to the school day. Please continue to use caution when traveling.
Additional Information
When snow or ice is present, families can help support student safety by:
· Encouraging students to wait in the safest and most visible spot available
· Reminding them to stay well back from the roadway until the bus comes to a complete stop
· Using extra care when stepping on or off the bus
Additional cold-weather safety tips:
To help students stay protected in extreme cold, we encourage families to take a few extra precautions:
Dress in layers: warm coats, hats, gloves or mittens, scarves, and thick socks
Cover exposed skin as much as possible to reduce frostbite risk
Arrive at bus stops just in time — avoid waiting outdoors longer than necessary
Stand back from the roadway and stay visible to drivers and bus operators
Watch footing near icy or snow-covered areas
