Little Miami Schools is pleased to announce that Kristen Overbeck has been selected as the new Assistant Principal at Little Miami Primary School.
Kristen brings over a decade of dedicated experience as a special education teacher and a proven commitment to inclusive, student-centered leadership. Prior to joining Little Miami, she taught for nine years in Sycamore Community Schools as a Special Education Teacher. She is recognized for her expertise in differentiated instruction, behavior intervention, and the use of evidence-based strategies to support diverse learners, skills that have positioned her as a trusted leader among her peers. She has made significant contributions to district initiatives including IEP development, student support teams, and family engagement, and has collaborated with general education teams to implement co-teaching models and align curriculum.
“Becoming the next assistant principal at Little Miami Primary means being a pillar of support, a source of positivity, and a steady hand in shaping young lives,” said Overbeck. “It’s about building trust, inspiring growth, and leaving a lasting impact, not just in the classroom, but in the hearts of every student, staff member, and family I serve.”
Overbeck holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Her ability to lead with empathy, apply data-informed practices, and build strong professional relationships makes her well-prepared for this leadership role.
