Virtual Learning Academy

Welcome to Little Miami Virtual Learning Academy.  We are excited to offer this online education opportunity for you and your student.

School Supplies

Each unit in Virtual Learning Academy will explain needed supplies, most of which you may be able find at home - others may need to be purchased.

Technology 

  • All students at Little Miami have an email address.  Click the link  for steps to  accessing student email .
  • An email from  [email protected]  containing your username, password, and link to the VLA platform.  If you have not received an email, please contact [email protected] for assistance. 
  • Devices: District-owned devices are being distributed to VLA students.   Device Agreement for families using a Little Miami device.
  • If you have completed the device agreement and need to schedule or reschedule a pick up time – click the  Device Pickup Schedule.

If tech support is needed for the device:

  • Email  [email protected]  with a detailed description of what is occurring 
  • Leave a phone number, student name and grade  just in case additional information is needed to resolve your tech issue 
  • We may be able to resolve through a remote session or an in person appointment may be needed. 

Second Semester Platform Change

LM students have the option of changing learning platforms (VLA or in-person) at semester break. Students who are satisfied with their current learning platform do not need to do anything to remain in that platform. 

Students who wish to change platforms need to complete the Semester Learning Platform Change Form and submit it to Little Miami Central Office or [email protected] prior to October 23, 2020. If forms are not received, the student will remain in their current learning platform. Due to fees being specific to the platform, when changing platforms, the appropriate fee will be assessed. If changing to VLA, please pay the $50 enrollment fee when submitting the change request form.  Once your student begins VLA courses, this fee is non-refundable.  Timing is essential due to the JH/HS master schedules and K-6 classes that need to be created.

*Parents of students who move from in-person to the VLA learning platform will need to attend a 30-minute VLA Zoom orientation prior to October 23.  Zoom session info was sent out to all district families via email. If you did not receive the email or need assistance, please call 513-899-2264.

Meal Program

Little Miami will make meals available for students who are attending Virtual Learning Academy. There is no charge for meals through the end of the 2020-2021 school year. 

Interested families MUST SIGN UP for this service here. 

Pickup days are Wednesdays from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM AND 3:30 PM-6:00 PM. at Little Miami Intermediate School (7427 Zoar Road, Maineville, OH 45039). Look for a tent on the Zoar Road side, near the service entrance.

Other people may pick up for you, students do not need to be present. If you are unable to pick up your meals, please contact us at: [email protected], 513-899-5130. 

Families only need to sign up once and they will remain on the list for the weekly pick up. If you will NOT be picking up a meal once you are signed up, please email Rachel Tilford: [email protected]
