The teachers at Little Miami Junior High School know a great student when they see one, and they want you to know about them, too!

LMJH educators recently nominated six students to be honored as March students of the month. Here are the students and what their teachers had to say about them:

Collin Streuer (nominated by Mr. Weisbrodt): "Collin is a two sport standout athlete at LMJH. He has a great work ethic in class. Collin asks great questions and is very insightful. He is equally willing to help students and teachers alike."

Riley Pringle (nominated by Ms. Francosky): "Riley is a polite, hard-working, and responsible student who gets along well with his peers and teachers. He is always looking for opportunities to help teachers and classmates. He has shown maturity and dependability during emergency situations. Riley participates in class and sets a great example for others.”

Heather DeForest (nominated by Ms. Beebe): "Heather has shown so much growth as a reader and a writer this year. She is naturally quiet but has stepped out of her comfort zone and I think it has helped to make her more successful. Heather takes criticism well and uses it to her advantage. I am very proud of the work and effort she puts forth. She is always respectful and treats her peers well. "

Jacob Melton (nominated by Ms. Dunster): "Jacob has worked to improve his reading and writing skills this year.  He is focused, makes great choices, manages his time in and out of class and meets all of his deadlines.  He is hard-working, and challenges himself to attempt new things.  He also displays some strong leadership staying on task and encouraging others to do the same.  He asks intentional and thoughtful questions and uses extra time to come get clarification or additional help if needed.”

William Zegarski (nominated by Mr. Crotty): " William is doing a great job in language arts this year. He is constantly prepared, enjoys studying and learning about the world around him, and sets a positive tone that contributes to the success of everyone around him. Thanks, William.”

Cecelia Pucko (nominated by Mrs. Hile): Ceceila is a highly responsible, mature and bright young lady. She consistently participates in class and constantly strives to make herself a better student. Ceceila always seeks to challenge herself and proves daily that she is an exemplary language arts student.”

Alexis Hoffman (nominated by Ms. Schrenk) : Alexis is a wonderful student!  She comes to class each day ready to work hard and do her very best.  She’s eager to learn, has a positive attitude, is kind and helpful to her peers, and gives 100%.  Thanks for being a model student in every aspect!

Corissa Oeder (nominated by Ms. K. Wall): Corissa puts forth maximum effort in all that she does.  She comes to class willing and eager to learn, turns all her work in on time, and chooses to complete extra credit as well.  She is an athlete who manages to get her homework done, which means she manages her time well.  She is also kind to others and does not complain, making her a fantastic role model for her peers.
