The teachers at Little Miami Junior High School know a great student when they see one, and they want you to know about them, too!

LMJH educators recently nominated six students to be honored as April students of the month. Here are the students and what their teachers had to say about them:

Megan Stein (nominated by Mr. Cherry): "Megan is a hardworking student no matter the class or content or activity.  She has maintained an average above 95% in every class, every quarter."

Kaleb (KC) Duncan (nominated by Mrs. Williams): "I chose KC as student of the month because he is a positive role model for LM Junior High. KC always seems to be in a good mood and is ALWAYS smiling.  He is very polite and always displays a positive attitude. Not only is he is an athlete, but he has maintained a 4.0 grade point average all year. So, thank you, KC,for being an all around great student and a positive role model."

Abigail Beyersdoerfer (nominated by Ms. Reuscher): "She has fought hard and continued to persevere through the year. She will do great things in life and for others as she continues to move forward one day at a time."

Allison Dillon (nominated by Mr. Derrig): "Allison has overcome adversity and continuously keep up with her school work.  She is a real inspiration to me.  She always does her best and never gives up."

Ariel Gomez Daffner (nominated by Mrs. Mattingly): "Ariel is always very hard working. When she did not receive an Honors recommendation for World History she approached me to ask how she might improve as a student to possibly get into Honors at a future date. Her looking within for a solution was very impressive."

Brenda Fofie (nominated by Mr. Madden): "Brenda is an academic superstar. Her work ethic is phenomenal and is exceeded only by her intellect. She is great during class discussion and is always prepared. Brenda makes the classroom a better place. She is a pleasure to teach and I expect that she will be wildly successful in whatever endeavor she chooses.  Great Job!"

Lucas Swierk (nominated by Mr. Butler): Lucas is a great student who always is on his “A” game. He has exceptional manners and is eager to assist in any way that he can. He is a strong member of Student Council and has been a leader with our LMJH Can Food Drive and Pennies for Patients. Lucas is a shining star on our school campus, keep it up Lucas your future is bright!
