Celebrating our admin assistants!

Wednesday, April 26 is Administrative Professionals Day, which highlights the important role of administrative professionals in all areas of our schools. In many ways, Little Miami’s administrative professionals are the face of the district, greeting parents and students, answering the phone, keeping track of student attendance and important school records, providing comfort to a little one having a bad day and dozens of other duties.

"There is no way to adequately thank our administrative professionals for all of the important work they do on behalf of Little Miami students, parents, teachers and administrators," Superintendent Greg Power said. "We are grateful for them every day, not just on April 26."

How long have you been with Little Miami? – 18 years

What’s the best thing about being an LM admin?  - The students!  When a day gets a little stressful, I can have a conversation with a student and it puts everything back in to proper perspective.

What’s one of the challenges of being an LM admin? – Multi-tasking is always fun!  You have to be flexible because in any given day, you will have numerous interruptions, and you just have to go with it!  Hey, you do what you have to do!

Something that people may not know about you: I play the piano and sing.  I am currently learning to play the mandolin!

How long have you been with Little Miami? Full time employee at Little Miami for three years, subbed for two years before that and PTO since 2005.

What’s the best thing about being an LM admin? The sense of community and camaraderie.

What’s one of the challenges of being an LM admin? Constant interruptions, I have learned to embrace change!

Something that people may not know about you: I have 2 bachelor’s degrees- one in Biology and one in Library Sciences. I am fluent in English and 3 Indian languages.
