Cans for a cause: LMIS food drive through Jan. 21

Posted on: January 27, 2016

Students at Little Miami Intermediate School are engaged in a friendly competition that -- at its end-- will benefit the less fortunate in our community.

LMIS student government, under the direction of advisers Bobbi Allen and Erin Dipzinski, has been hosting a food drive through the month of January. Students in all classes have been placing their donations on the stage in the LMIS cafeteria and student government reps have been responsible for tallying class totals and reporting them during morning announcements.

The class that brings in the most canned goods will receive a class popcorn party, and the canned goods will be donated to the Morrow Food Pantry, at a time when supplies are thinning out following the holidays. The food drive runs until Jan. 31.
