Student artist creates Fest poster

Posted on: April 22, 2016

This weekend’s Fine Art Festival will feature hundreds of pieces of visual art from Little Miami students in all grade levels, but there will be one special piece of art that won’t be hanging with the others.

For the past two years, the Fine Arts Festival poster has been designed by LMHS student Emily Blevins. Blevins, a senior, designed the pieces in Digital Media Arts class, led by Warren County Career Center teacher Brian Shoff. The district then uses the artwork to promote the festival in poster form, on the cover of the Festival program, on social media and in promotional materials sent to local media.

Blevins has been creating art and doing photo editing and graphic design for four years and plans to continue to do so in college. She will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design after graduation and plans to study animation with an eye toward the movie industry.

Her favorite animated movie? “ParaNorman.”
