BPA winners going to nationals

Seven Little Miami students have advanced to national-level competition after finishing in the top five at the Business Professionals of America Ohio Leadership Conference last month.

Students in business, information technology and digital media arts programs participated recently at the state-level conference in Columbus last month. Those who qualified will move on to national competition at the BPA National Leadership Conference May 5-9 in Boston.

Those who qualified for nationals:

Fundamental Accounting

  • Maddee Owens – LMHS, Top Five, qualified for nationals

Legal Office Procedures

  • Mercedes Kuntz – WCCC/Little Miami, Top Five, qualified for nationals

Fundamentals of Web Design

  • Shawn Loftin – LMHS, Top Five, qualified for nationals

Broadcast News Production Team

  • Caleb Hammonds-Brooks, Justin Pakozdi, Steven Szekely, Sebastian Palafox – LMHS, Second Place, qualified for nationals

Financial Math & Analysis Concepts-Open

  • Dusty Lykins, Top 10

Fundamental Accounting

  • Ben Washburn – LMHS, Top 10

Intermediate Word Processing

  • Molly Sutton – LMHS, Top 10
  • Sarah Schwartzenberger – LMHS, Top 10
