Sending our troops holiday greetings

Posted on: November 23, 2015

Students at Hamilton-Maineville Primary School are seeking help from the community to send holiday greetings to our troops overseas.

The school is working with a group called the Joint Service Members Program, which supports service members assigned in Saudi Arabia from all five branches of the military and depends solely on donations. The son of Manville Principal Teresa Reynolds is currently stationed there and is helping to organize this donation drive.

Donations of toiletries and healthy snack items will be packaged and shipped on Dec. 7 to ensure service members have them in time for holidays.Donations may be sent to school until Dec. 4.

In addition to sending donations, giant letters to our troops will be hanging on the wall for our students to sign. Community members are welcome to sign the letter as well.
