LM counselors to host anti-bullying program

Empowering students to be "upstanders" instead of by-standers in bullying situations is the aim of an upcoming parent program to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, hosted by the Little Miami School Counseling Department. The event will be held in the Little Miami Junior High cafeteria.

The featured speaker will be Patricia Parker-Perry, Ed. D. from Sandy Hook Promise (SHP). Parker-Perry is responsible for the outreach, growth, training and sustainability of SHP's four "Know the Signs" programs. The topics covered during this program will include: Start with Hello Program, Say Something Program, prevention strategies for reducing school violence and statistics on suicide, cyberbullying and social media. Check out the informational flier.
