Baker to be guest clinician in Rome

Posted on: June 14, 2016

Sarah Baker, the director of the Little Miami High School vocal music program, has been invited to serve as a guest clinician at the Musica Eterna Roma International Choral Competition and Festival in Rome, Italy, this July.

Baker will be presenting “Color and Voice: Using Synesthesia to Achieve Balance and Blend in the Choral Ensemble” during the festival, which runs July 1-5.

Baker will be traveling to Europe with the Little Miami High School tour chorale to participate in the choral competition and then will have stops in Austria and Germany. The group will be traveling through July 10.

International performances for Little Miami’s vocal music program are nothing new. The Select Women’s Chorale traveled to Riga, Latvia in 2014 to participate in the World Choir Games.

And not only has Baker been honored with an invitation to teach, but the Little Miami tour chorale has been asked to sing for mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican on July 3.
