NTHS Inductions
Little Miami students were among those at the Warren County Career Center who recently were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. To qualify for membership, students were required to maintain a 3.25 or higher grade point average along with a 95 percent attendance rate and recommendations from their instructors.
The induction ceremony began with welcomes from Director of Secondary Education Gary Patton and Superintendent Maggie Hess to the students and their parents.
"Today is not the culmination of your efforts but the beginning of accepting responsibility, promoting leadership and helping others," Mrs. Hess told the students. "All of us in this room believe you will do well in your future endeavors and make all of us proud."
NTHS Officers presented the seven attributes of the society: Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership. Counselors Kathy Anderson and Toni Crawford announced the inductees, who were presented with certificates, tassels and sashes.
After the ceremony, Culinary students prepared and served breakfast. Landscape students decorated the tables and Criminal Justice students directed traffic and greeted visitors. Digital Design and Graphic Arts students took video and photos of the event.
Little Miami seniors inducted were: Chelsey, Cosmetology; Jamie, Legal and Medical; Carol, Teacher Academy; Jennifer, Business Technology; Emilee, Business Technology; Brandon, Cosmetology; Kyle, Information Technology; Anthony, Fire Science; and Zachary, Aviation.
