Earth Day

Second-grade students in Karen Dumais’ class partnered with Kroger for an environmental awareness project to spread the message of Earth Day. Mrs. Dumais borrowed paper grocery bags from the local grocery store. Her students decorated the bags with environmental messages about reuse, recycling, wildlife, etc. The bags were returned to Kroger, and on Earth Day customers received their groceries— along with the message that Morrow Elementary School students care about our environment— in the decorated bags.
