Little Maimi Local Schools
Three Year Strategic Plan, 2007-2010

The Little Miami Local School District is on the brink of change. As the District faces increased enrollment and overcrowding issues, it remains focused on its pursuit of academic excellence for all students. The District has added 1,250 students in 10 years, and overall enrollment is growing by 200-250 additional students each year. The schools are currently over capacity by more than 1,000 students district-wide, and all buildings are overcrowded.

With the passing of the bond issue in May 2006, the Little Miami School District is executing its long-term, proactive plan for managing the overcrowding issue. The District is continually aware of the great responsibility bestowed upon it by the community; it is always striving to provide the very best opportunities to every student, while carefully guarding the District’s resources.

This three-year strategic plan, which will serve as a guide in decision making, prepares the district for our transition into new buildings and demonstrates how each department is working to meet the district’s three top goals:

1. Pursuit of Excellence
2. Safe, Quality Learning Environments
3. Fiscal Stewardship
