READING GROUP WORK DUE Friday. Each week the students are given a book to read that corresponds with the story of the week. They are given roughly a week to answer four questions about the book. The questions are on the back cover of the book. I've encouraged the students to read it during the day when we have silent reading time, and at night for their 20 minutes. I've also reminded them NOT to wait until the night before it's due. But we know that sometimes happens. Please encourage your child to work on the book before it's due. I'll continue to do the same. Thanks !
There will be a multiplication timed test weekly starting the week of 10/20 . The importance is improvement on an individual basis.
Spelling test (For those students who didn't get at least 75% on spelling tests will need to write their spelling words 10 times each and in sentences, due each Thurs.)
ALSO remember to bring in your reading contract Monday.
Please read 20 minutes each night!
Please encourage your child to practice their math facts. Not knowing them can REALLY interfere with learning the new math concepts, esp. division.
