Week of November 17th - We will be predicting, inferring, making connections, about the stories we are reading. What are learning what the main idea is of a story. We are learning if the story is fiction or non-fiction. Discussing beginning, middle, and end of a story. Where is the story taking place (setting). We are working with consonant clusters - sl, sp, sm, sn, & st. We are going to also work with the silent clusters - kn, gn, wr,. The word families we are working with are "ell" & "est". We are hunking and chunking with the "ea", sounds.
