Dear Families,
Happy New Year to you all. It has been wonderful to see all of our boys and girls again. The teachers and children are getting right back into the swing of things as the students continue to learn what they will need for first grade and beyond.
I would like to thank you all for the holiday wishes, gifts and cards. As many of you know, I lost my father on December 15 and the support and kindness from my staff and school families made this difficult time much easier to deal with.
Recently, our district announced that we will be opening a fourth elementary school next year. Phase one of the school will be located in the current Intermediate School on Welch Rd. in Morrow. Many of our Annex students will be attending phase one of this new school next year, and even more students will join this school in the 2009 -2010 school year.
On the back of this newsletter, you will find a list of areas that will be included in phase one of the new school. Each family involved will be receiving a letter soon to let them know about the changes.

Below are some important dates for you to remember:

Jan. 8 - Maineville PTO Meeting at 7:00

Jan. 15 - Delayed Start - Little Miami Kindergarten Annex doors will open for A.M. students at 10:20. Students will be starting school at 10:30 and leaving school at 12:30. Students arriving after 10:35 will be marked tardy. Car riders should be picked up at 12:20. Our doors will open for P.M. students at 1:40. Students will be starting school at 1:50 and leaving school at 3:50. Students arriving after 1:55 will be marked tardy. Car riders should be picked up at 3:40. Please do not drop students off before the doors open. Thanks for your cooperation!

Jan. 21 - No School - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Jan. 29 - Morrow PTO Meeting

Jan. 30 - Mad Science comes to the Annex for classroom presentations
