Dear Families,
We are still conducting our Yearbook Sale. If you would like to order a yearbook, the form is due back to our office by December 14. Please make your checks out to Lifetouch. Yearbooks will not be available for purchase after this date. Prepaid orders are the only copies we will receive. There will not be extras for sale in the spring.

Please make sure that your child wears a coat or jacket to school on the cold days. Classes will continue to have outside recess as long as the temperature allows. Students must also have shoes that will not slip off of the feet. With ice and snow on the way, shoes that will not easily come off will help prevent accidents. Students who do not have proper shoes on will not be able to play on the playground equipment.
<br We would like to remind everyone of our school hours. Our office opens at 8:30 A.M. for phone calls. A.M. students may begin arriving at 8:50. (Please do not drop students off before 8:50. Supervision may not be available until this time.) Tardy time is 9:05. Car riders are called at 11:35 and buses load at 11:45. Preschool students may begin arriving at 12:45. Preschool ends at 3:15. From 12:00 - 12:55, kindergarten teachers and staff have planning time and lunch. Our office reopens at 12:55. P.M. students may begin arriving at 12:55. (Please do not drop students off before 12:55. Supervision may not be available until this time.) Tardy time is 1:10. Car riders are called at 3:40 and buses load at 3:50. Our office is usually open until 4:30. Thank you for your cooperation.

Our school year is moving along very quickly. The month of December will be over before we know it. On the back of this newsletter are some important dates for you to remember:

Dec. 4 - Maineville PTO Meeting

Dec. 6 - Little Miami Kindergarten Annex Night at Maineville Santa Shop from 5:00 - 7:30 PM in Mr. Hammann's Art Room

Dec. 14 - Last day for yearbook orders

Dec. 18 - Board of Education Meeting

Dec. 22 - Jan. 1 - Holiday Break

Jan. 2 - School resumes

Jan. 15 - Delayed Start - Little Miami Kindergarten Annex doors will open for A.M. students at 10:20. Students will be starting school at 10:30 and leaving school at 12:30. Students arriving after 10:35 will be marked tardy. Car riders should be picked up at 12:20. Our doors will open for P.M. students at 1:40. Students will be starting school at 1:50 and leaving school at 3:50. Students arriving after 1:55 will be marked tardy. Car riders should be picked up at 3:40. Please do not drop students off before the doors open. Thanks for your cooperation!

If you are interested in the transitions that will happen next school year, come to the December Little Miami Board of Education Meeting on Dec. 18. Mr. Sears, our Curriculum Director for grades 5-12 and the Chairperson of the District Transition Committee, will be sharing district Transition Plans. As many of you know, Little Miami Schools will be opening a newly created elementary school next year in the current 5-6 hallway of the Intermediate School. Many families will be attending this school next year and even more the following year. This will help our three existing elementary schools get back to housing the number of students they were designed to hold. I will be the principal of this new school and look forward to working with many of you again!
