Report Cards, etc.

Report Cards

Report cards are issued three times a year at the end of each twelve-week period. Students who have not paid their school fees will not receive report cards. The following are the dates when report cards will be sent home:
    November 21, 2006
    March 2, 2007
    June 7, 2007

Interim Reports

At the midpoint in each twelve weeks, teachers complete an interim report, which is sent home for every student. The interim report is an estimate regarding the progress of each student halfway in the current grading period. If a parent does not receive an interim he/she is encouraged to call the school. Students who have not paid their school fees will not receive their interim reports. Individual teams may send home progress reports on a more frequent basis. The following are the dates when the progress reports will be sent home:
    October 6, 2006
    January 19, 2007
    April 20, 2007

Grading Policy

    A = 93 -100
    B = 84 - 92
    C = 75 - 83
    D = 67-74
    F = 0 - 66

Honor Roll

Students are placed on an honor roll according to their grade point average. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher in order to be considered for the honor roll.

Note - For honor roll placement, all grades must be a C or above.

National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society is based on five principles: Character, Leadership, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Service. Membership is determined by grade point average and an application process. For 7th graders, the requirement is an average GPA of 3.5 or above for the first two trimesters of 7th grade. For 8th graders, the requirement is an average GPA of 3.5 or above for the 7th grade and the first two trimesters of 8th grade year. Any student meeting that criteria will receive an application in the mail and upon submitting that application will be considered for membership. The induction for new members takes place each spring.
