Make Up Work

Make up work is the process by which credit is earned for those days on which a student was absent. When an excused absence occurs, the student will be given the opportunity to make up any work he/she missed. These things must be clearly understood:
    A. The student assumes responsibility for making arrangements with the teacher relative to all make up work.
    B. The make up assignment may be different from what was required of the students who were present.
    C. Students have the same number of days to make up work as they missed unless other arrangements are agreed upon by the student and teacher.
    D. Students with unexcused absences will not be allowed to make up work missed for credit. Those students will not be given grades for the unexcused day because of lack of participation.
    E. Homework requests should be directed to the Guidance Department @ ext. 2104 by 9:00 a.m.
Note: A student who habitually is absent and makes no effort to make up assignments must expect a lower grade than a student who attends regularly and contributes to class day after day.
