A basic essential to the transportation process is an environment which is conducive to safety. Drivers cannot drive when chaos, disruption, and fear exist. The school system has a responsibility to protect the rights of the student to safe travel to and from school, as well as to insure the proper operation of the district transportation system. The behavior of a student is the joint responsibility of the district, parent and pupil.
To fulfill the district's responsibility, the Board of Education, its administrators, and the entire staff accept it as a duty to (1) provide a transportation environment where safe transportation can take place and (2) protect the rights and privileges of all members of the school community.
Therefore, the Little Miami Local School District Board of Education has adopted the following "Code of Conduct" for all students within the Little Miami Local School District.
Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 3313.753 students riding district school buses may have such bus riding privileges suspended by the superintendent or other district administrators for a period of time not to exceed 80 days for any violation of the student code of conduct or a violation of the student code of conduct or a violation of the reasonable rules and regulations established by Little Miami Local Board of Education.
