Arrival and Departure Policy

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE POLICY

Students who do not ride the bus to school should plan to arrive after 7:00 a.m.  This applies to the parking lot as well as to the school building.  Anyone needing to arrive earlier for any reason must secure permission from the principal.  No student may leave the school grounds once he/she has arrived, and no student is to loiter outside the building or adjacent property before or after school.

All students who plan to leave earlier than their normal dismissal time, or other than by their regular mode of transportation, must present a note to the homeroom teacher before the tardy bell. The note must be signed by their parent, dated, and explain the need for a change in the normal schedule/procedure. This also applies to athletes who ask to leave school property and return for a practice or game.  We want to make sure students are safe, and accounted for, during those times of the day. The school discourages students from walking into town between school dismissal and activities after school, but this remains a parent decision if the procedures are followed.
