What are we doing...

1st-4th Grade
We are learning about Gymnastics.  The students are rotating between 4 stations: Balance Beam, Floor Exercise, Vault, Strength/Stretch.  The key elements in Gymnastics are Strength, Flexibility & Balance.  These are all important for the development of a strong core in the body.

Health Lesson
This month we will be focusing on Everyday Foods, Sometimes Foods, & Every Once in Awhile Foods.  They will be able to identify what foods they are eating in all 3 meals.  From that, they will determine if any changes need to be made to their diet.

Phys Ed FYI

Please make sure your students knows when "Gym Day" to be dressed appropriately.

Students should be wearing gym shoes that fit correctly.  These types of shoes can be walking, running, cross-training, tennis, aerobic, or basketball shoes.

Students should also wear clothes appropriate to work out in.  Jeans, regular pants, dress, skirts are NOT encouraged.  Warm-up pants, wind pants, sweatpants, fleece pants, leggings are all favorable clothes to wear.  I always tell the students to "dress like a gym teacher" on gym day.

To see my class schedule, please click here  2nd Trimester Schedule . The class schedule changes on Tuesday November 18th.
