The fourth grade students will be attending Camp Joy Nov. 13-14. Camp Joy is a nonprofit educational organization that runs a variety of programs. We will be participating in the Outdoor School Program. Parents will drop their child off at Camp Joy the morning of Nov. 13. The students will participate in outdoor education activites throughout the day, spend the night in cabins that night, and parents will return to pick up their child the afternoon of Nov. 14.
The Camp Joy trip takes an incredible amount of planning, and you will see a lot of paperwork come home. The timeline below should help you know when to expect information to arrive:
End of September - Information packet, medical forms and carpool information will come home. The forms will need to be returned by mid-October. If you will be sending medications with your child to camp, you should check with the school office for the appropriate form.
October 17 - All money and forms are due.
Mid-October - Numbers must be reported to Camp Joy. No students can be added to the lists after this number is reported.
Chaperone training meeting will also be at Maineville Elementary in mid-October.
