The Phonics Dance is a program created by an educator named Ginny Dowd (www.phonicsdance.com) that uses chants and movements to help children learn strategies to use while reading. We do the Phonics Dance each day in class, as repetition is a key to its success. Normally 1 - 2 new "chunks" are presented each week. Ask your child to see/hear part of the phonics dance! It really makes learning fun!
