When Dorothy Gale falls into the Land of Oz, she has but one thing on her mind: Getting back to Kansas.
The adventures that ensue as she travels the yellow brick road back home are part of the Little Miami High School drama program’s production of the classic “The Wizard of Oz,” showing April 7, 8 and 9 at LMHS.
Dorothy (Kate Koch) teams up with a Scarecrow (Tadeo Palafox), a Tin Woodsman (Brayden Young) and a Cowardly Lion (Eli Lanham) to find the mighty Wizard of Oz who can send her home. Along the way, they must avoid the Wicked Witch of the West (Morgan Tomasetti), who is trying to steal the mysterious magic slippers that are now on Dorothy's feet. Dorothy eventually learns just how magical friendship can be and how wonderful it can feel to go home again.
Other cast members include Bailey Carson (Aunt Em), Kenny Storer (Uncle Henry), Nick Stacey (Wizard of Oz), Kayla Elliot (Glinda), Matthew Perelman (Oz Guard) and Rocco Tomasetti (Mayor of Munckinland).
