Little Miami Business Advisory Council

The Business Advisory Council, a committee established by the Little Miami Local Schools Board of Education, has been in existence in one form or another for more than six years. The council consists of local community members, board members and other key stakeholders to serve in an advisory capacity to the Little Miami Board of Education.

Mission

To propose, develop, execute and communicate initiatives that contribute to short-, mid-, and long-term fiscal responsibility while enriching the education experience of our district's students.

Membership

The council will be comprised of no more than 12 members consisting of up to nine community members, one or two board of education members, one member of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees and one member of the Little Miami Teachers Association, subject to approval of the board of education. The council will work closely with the superintendent and treasurer and will ensure a council representative attends each school board meeting.

Council members will serve three year terms, which may be renewed for additional terms at the discretion of the council. Terms begin on July 1 and run through June 30 of each year.

Responsibility

The council will make reports to the board as necessary and assess the adequacy of the council annually and recommend proposed changes to the board for approval.

Meetings

The Business Advisory Council meets the second Monday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Panther Room at Central Office.

Meetings are open to the public.
