The High School 2010 Yearbooks Have Arrived

Attention all graduates of the Class of 2010:  The 2010 yearbooks have arrived and can be picked up starting Monday, August 23 in the High School office during normal office hours.  Yearbooks may only be picked up by graduates or immediate family members.  If you did not pre-order a 2010 yearbook, extra books may be purchased for $65.00 in the main office on a first come-first serve basis while supplies last.  All checks should be made out to LMHS.  If you have any questions, please contact Erin Davis at 899-3781 x20423.

Please note, all current LMHS students who pre-ordered a 2010 yearbook will receive it on August 25 during the first day of school.  Books will not be distributed during Tuesday's Open House.  Those who did not pre-order a book may purchase extras in the main office for $65.00 with checks made out to LMHS.  Extra books are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.

Driving Safety!

As a means of ensuring student safety as well as displaying courtesy to other drivers, please help us by observing the following procedures:

  • Parents dropping off/picking up high school students should do so behind the building after 7:20 AM (morning) and after 2:15 PM (afternoon).
  • Parents dropping off/picking up 8th grade students should do so in front of the building at the main entrance.
  • Do not enter the high school campus near the tennis courts during drop-off/pick-up time for any reason. Entry to the campus during these times should occur through the roundabout only.
  • Do not cut across or park in student or staff parking areas while waiting for student dismissal. Parking or driving through these areas only adds to traffic congestion and puts students, staff, and parents at risk.
  • While waiting for student dismissal, please help utilize all available space by closing any gaps and using all three lanes in the rear of the high school building.

Traffic Light:

As the new school year approaches, the district would like to review driving procedures at Little Miami High School and Little Miami Junior High School to ensure the safety of our students.  Please review this information so that we can all work together to make dropping off and picking up students on this campus as safe as possible.

  • Drivers should remember to slow down in the school zone to 20 miles per hour and use extra caution during drop off and pick up times.
  • Parents/Guardians should only drop off and pick up students in the designated zones.
  • Please do not allow students to exit vehicles on Morrow Cozaddale Road. It inhibits traffic flow and is dangerous for students.
  • Do not wait to move to the front of the line.  As soon as you are safely stopped in the drop-off zone, have your child exit your car.
  • Avoid blocking the bus entrance or otherwise impeding the flow of traffic.
  • Park in designated visitor parking areas if you need to enter the building with your students.
  • Students should walk up to the main entrance of the school on the sidewalk.

We appreciate your cooperation as we strive to keep these school sites as safe as possible for our students, staff and community.
