BAC:

Mission: "To propose, develop, execute and communicate district expense and revenue initiatives that deliver short, mid and long term fiscal responsibility."

Involving the community has been instrumental in Little Miami Schools' success. That's why the district relies on the Business Advisory Council to provide input and support for the school system.

The council acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Education, primarily assisting the District in the following areas:

  • Assessing the assumptions made in financial forecasts;
  • Reviewing the necessity and timing of levy requests; and
  • Reviewing the annual reports of the District's external auditor.

    The Council — which formed in November 2007 — consists of community citizens, the treasurer and superintendent. A maximum of two Board of Education members are invited to attend the meetings as observers. The Council makes regular reports to the Board of Education.

    Members serve on several subcommittees, including:

  • Expenses
  • Revenue, including grants, asset utilization and sponsorships/partnerships
  • Communication
